The Scarsdale Police Department received a report last week that a suspicious man entered the Immaculate Heart of Mary School on Friday, Feb. 21, and Friday, Feb. 28. Police said that once the man was discovered, he was asked to leave the building and did so without incident.

It was later reported to police that a wallet was stolen from the school during the second visit, which was on the same day as two reported incidents in Eastchester and Bronxville involving a suspicious man attempting to gain access to school buildings.

Earlier stories:

It is unclear how the man gained access to the Immaculate Heart of Mary School.

Police said they are in contact with investigators in Eastchester to determined if the incidents are related. The matter remains under investigation, and other area schools have been notified.
